Classic Fudge Chocolate Brownie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1.25 Cups Unsalted Butter – melted (For Dairy Free Substitution use 1.25 Cups of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (about 8oz.) – melted
  • 1.75 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour (For Gluten Free Substitution use King Arthur Measure to Measure Flour)
  • 1.5 Cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

Preperation

Preheat the oven to 325. Prepare and grease a 9 X 13 Baking Pan. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler on the stove just until melted (the microwave will work as well at 30-second intervals mixing between until melted) set aside to cool slightly. Sift flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder and set aside. Place sugar and melted butter/chocolate in a mixer and mix until fully combined. Add vanilla extract. Add eggs, one at a time scraping the bowl with a spatula between each addition. Finally, add your dry ingredients and mix with a paddle attachment until fully mixed. Place the brownie batter in the baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool on the counter for at least 30 minutes before cutting. This will probably be the longest 30 minutes of waiting. After cooling, enjoy your special treat!
